Instructional Videos
Things to pay attention to:
1. Sail trim - Sails should be 90% trimmed as you flatten, with a small pump of the main at the end.
2. Crew position - Crew is responsible for a strong rock to initiate the roll. The crew should watch the skipper and move to flatten the boat with the skipper. Also make sure your jib sheets are always organized and ready for the next tack.
3. Skipper - Gradual turn, don't throw the tiller over, that will just stop you. Ease main during the rock, give a pump after you have completed the tiller exchange and the boat is becoming flat.
4. Both - Move together.
5. Jib - Watch jib as a guide to initiate the roll. When the jib backwinds and hits the mast, start to roll the boat. As you (crew) come over to flatten the boat, you should have the jib sheet in your hand and trimming the jib so that it is 90% trimmed as you flatten.
Notice that in the two light wind videos the wind is very light so they are tipping the boat very significantly, but yet they both come over to flatten the boat.

It's that simple!!
